The nature of addiction and overcoming it through hypnosis
Addiction is a learned behaviour as your brain comes to associate a particular cue to a variable reward. This ranges across anything from another go on your favourite game to eating sugar to a second bottle of your favourite wine. Your brain knows that – on receiving the stimulus – it can expect a reward, which is where the cravings stem from.
These behaviours become increasingly destructive as the cravings grow. As marketers further understand the reward cycle of the human brain, they bombard us with offers and advertising they know will stimulate us into a craving and ultimately seeking to satisfy our addiction.
Kicking a drug habit
Alcohol, nicotine, cannabis or any other classified substance can create an addiction as the body seeks the reward associated with these narcotics. Drug addiction is extremely difficult to break as the body runs through psychological and physiological withdrawal symptoms.
Hypnosis helps the body overcome the dependence the body seeks from these simulants and depressants. The key to breaking such habits is disassociating the mind from the stimulus so that the body no longer forces you into unwanted behaviours.
Our hypnosis sessions will remove the triggers and stimuli that can cause you to take drugs, such as being at a social event, on a night out or seeking escape; ultimately reclaiming control of your life.

Addictions are hardest to break as we often don’t front up to the fact we have developed addictive behaviours. Addictions can stem from various roots and are often the result of an associated stress or other life event that has taken control of our behaviours.
In seeking to regain control, we often adopt behaviours that are actually more destructive than the original situation, and addiction ensues.
